April 22nd saw the Crystal Ballroom come alive with over 600 kids ready to celebrate. Good music and good friends made for a great day. Earthstock would not have been a success without the help of several people, and I want to say thank you to all of them. The Crystal Ballroom, of course, steps up with the greatest location for a dance in Portland. Bethesda Lutheran Communities provided our staff shirts, Steve Dorris with his artistic prowess, and Chad Dowling Events helped with our musical selections. Stores like Applebees, Paradise Bakery, Bi-Mart, Moonstruck Chocolates, Starbucks, and many more. We also want to recognize the volunteers who showed up to help us out. We had help from several local organizations, including, Americorps, Impact NW, SUN schools, Concordia University, Madison High School and friends and family. We hope that everyone had as much fun as we did. Take a look at our link to this years pictures.
A friend recently forwarded me the information about this event. Her son attends Putnam High School. I’m wondering if kids from Oregon City High School are invited and/or allowed to participate. Please let me know. Many thanks and have a great day.
Absolutely, they should have received an invitation. I haven’t heard from them yet.
