We are excited to announce that Earthstock is scheduled for May 3rd, 2024. We will be celebrating at the historic Crystal Ballroom. For more information about this years event please reach out to tony@earthstockpdx.com.
Earthstock 30 May 5th 2023
We are so excited to return to the Crystal Ballroom for our 30th anniversary. and to celebrate with friends from all over the region.
I have missed Earthstock, as I am sure many of you have. I cannot believe it has been 30 years. I can still remember setting up a bunch of makeshift speakers and home amps to play my cd’s. There have been so many people who have helped along the way, coworkers, friends, family, even a former boss, photographers who provided pictures, the world’s fastest caricaturist, the local Star Wars group, the superhero group (Got to see Batman dance he YMCA, unfortunately he did not get to the Batusi, that is for the older readers)

There have been so many people who have helped along the way, coworkers, friends, family, even a former boss. As we grew, students from Madison (now Leodis McDaniel) joined in as helpers, and several continue to help long after high school. I have had local celebrities don the green shirts, and be there supporting the kids. Earthstock 2018
April 27th was a record day for the Earthstock family. We reached close to, if not more than, 800 guests at the Crystal Ballroom. Every year we look forward to seeing everyone celebrating, and having a good time. I want to thank several people and groups for their support this year.
Mcmenamin’s Crystal Ballroom – I take incredible pride in our relationship with such an amazing, historical, and just plain cool space. Walking down the halls and around the stairs, knowing that our poster hangs in the midst of incredible artists from the 60’s 70’s all the way to current artists is pretty dang cool. I want to especially mention Kyle, Jonathan and the Crystal staff who look out for us every year. Thank you guys.
Auction Results
I want to thank all of our supporters, both buyers and donors for the success of our first charity art auction, and our Bar Method web auction. Your support has helped us to continue to move forward with EarthstockPDX. We want to also recognize Backstage at the Bagdad for hosting us. It was fun to have the Duck projected to the size of a house.
Bar Method Auction
We are fortunate to have another auction opportunity:
Earthstock PDX Charity Art Auction
If you look to the left of the page you will see the EarthstockPDX Charity Art Auction. Bid on art donated by local artists, including jewelry, photos and original pieces. Benefits of the auction go to support EarthstockPDX and its mission to provide opportunities to people with special needs. The auction is a simple bid style, what you bid is what the highest bid will be, not like ebay. Bid high and bid often.

Earthstock 20
The date has been set for the 20th annual Earthstock. On April 20th, 2012 the Crystal Ballroom will once again come alive with the sights and sounds of Earthstock. This years event will be bigger than ever due in part to the support of our friends at PEPSI and the PEPSI Refresh program. We want to thank the hundreds of voters who supported us by voting daily, entering power vote caps, and convincing their friends to help as well. It was truly a blessing to see the support we received from all over the country. Thank You.
Earthstock 2011 – A Huge Success
April 22nd saw the Crystal Ballroom come alive with over 600 kids ready to celebrate. Good music and good friends made for a great day. Earthstock would not have been a success without the help of several people, and I want to say thank you to all of them. The Crystal Ballroom, of course, steps up with the greatest location for a dance in Portland. Bethesda Lutheran Communities provided our staff shirts, Steve Dorris with his artistic prowess, and Chad Dowling Events helped with our musical selections. Stores like Applebees, Paradise Bakery, Bi-Mart, Moonstruck Chocolates, Starbucks, and many more. We also want to recognize the volunteers who showed up to help us out. We had help from several local organizations, including, Americorps, Impact NW, SUN schools, Concordia University, Madison High School and friends and family. We hope that everyone had as much fun as we did. Take a look at our link to this years pictures.
Exciting News!
Steve Dorris, the world’s fastest caricaturist, will once again be hangin’ out at Earthstock. Steve spent three hours last year drawing dancers and helping to make Earthstock even more special. Check out some of Steve’s work at http://www.gatorgrafx.com
